Overnight Oats (Basic)
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of oats
- 1/2 cup or 8 oz or whatever of Greek yogurt
- 2 tsp of honey
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Muffins (Basic)
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 8 ounces sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Directions
- Heat the oven to 375 F. Grease 12 muffin cups or spray with baking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, 3/4 cup sugar, the baking powder and soda, and salt. Use a whisk to blend the dry ingredients thoroughly.
- In another bowl, combine sour cream or Greek yogurt with the egg and melted butter. Whisk the mixture until smooth and well blended.
- Blend the sour cream mixture into the dry ingredients just until blended and all ingredients are moistened.
- Fill muffin cups about 2/3 full. Bake for 18 minutes or until browned and a toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the center of a muffin.
Lemonade Without Lemons
Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups of white sugar
- 8 cups of water
- 1 1/2 cups of lemon juice
Hard Boiled Eggs
Ingredients
Directions
- Put the eggs in a pot/saucepan and cover them with water
- Bring the whole thing to a rolling boil
- Remove from the heat, cover, and let sit for 10-12 minutes
- Run under cold water and peel
- If storing the eggs for later just refrigerate them, don't peel them
Mug Muffin (Basic)
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- In a mug, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk, butter, and vanilla. Mix until smooth.
- Microwave for 1½-2 minutes, or until cake appears puffy and cooked through.
Yule Wassail
Ingredients
- 1 apple
- 1 large orange
- Cranberries
- Cinnamon sticks
- 2 tbsp cinnamon powder
- 2 tsp ground clove
- 4 cups apple cider
- 1-3 cups cranberry juice
Directions
- Bring the apple (sliced), orange (sliced), cranberries, cinnamon sticks, apple cider, and cranberry juice to a boil
- Add the cinnamon powder and ground cloves
- Simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally
